Sarkin’s amazing odyssey into art is documented in Pulitzer Prize winning author Amy Nutt’s book, Shadows Bright as Glass: The Remarkable Story of One Man’s Journey from Brain Trauma to Artistic Triumph.

In 2013, at the AXNS Collective’s 03 Gallery in Oxford, England Sarkin delivered a powerful epic poem describing his ongoing artistic odyssey. The month long exhibition of his work inspired artists, students, and scientists to come to probe how images come out of a dark place.

Sarkin's work has been exhibited in New York’s Museum of Modern Art, New England's deCordova Museum and Sculpture Park, and is in private collections throughout the world.
