Elynn Kröger joins the Law & Water Gallery from the distant shores of Rocky Neck with a series of works in oil stick and graphite.
Boston born, Elynn Kröger lives and works in Gloucester and is a member of the Rocky Neck Art Colony. Her drawings are imbued with an intensity borne of confident line, vibrant colors and are dreamscapes of this Cape. They have been displayed in shows and exhibits throughout the region and beyond. She has been regularly featured in one-woman shows, as well as group and juried exhibitions.
Kröger has received numerous grants, awards, prizes, and commissions over the course of a career spanning forty years. She has studied methods and materials with noted artist such as Beverley Edwards, Joyce Gardner Zavorskas, John Cataldo, Tom Medeiros, and Zeng XiaoJun. Her work evokes the landscape and geography of place.
